This position is located on Roi-Namur on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day, and potential overseas tax incentives.

Essential Functions
  1. Provide transmitter operations and maintenance support for a C-Band and Ka-Band radar system.
  2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various pieces of commercial and custom hardware.
  3. Provide transmitter operations support including daily warm-ups, satellite tracks, SOI tasking, and range test operations.
  4. Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures and run system diagnostic software.
  5. Support receiver, transmitter, and hardware engineers during design and implementation of I&M projects involving receivers, transmitters, servos, and antenna subsystems.
  6. Assemble, wire, and bench test components and subassemblies.
  7. Install new equipment and provide technical input about system configuration and performance.
  8. Maintain an equipment calibration database, test fixtures, and assemblies using COTS components.
  9. Climb and work at moderate heights.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  1. Proficient in using and learning standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, RF power meters, spectrum analyzers, and frequency analyzers.
  2. Ability to read electronic schematics.
  3. Successful troubleshooting and repair of electronics.
  4. Electrical fabrication and soldering skills.
  5. Critical thinking and writing skills for generating JHA, procedures, and reports.
  6. General computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Background in high power electronics and RF transmission is desired.
  8. Ability to perform maintenance on vacuum tubes and high power pulsed microwave transmitters is desired.
  9. Capability to safely set up and measure high-voltage circuits is desired.
  10. Mechanical fabrication skills are desired.
Required Experience
  1. Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience; military electronics training also acceptable.
  2. Zero (0) or more years of electronics technician experience, including high voltage, high power electronics, and RF equipment experience.
  3. Additional RF equipment experience with analog/RF hardware components is desired.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Willingness to relocate to Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • Climber II Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Willingness and physical ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends.
