Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking an Entry Level Construction Services Field Technician for our team in Wenatchee, Washington. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to grow within the architectural, engineering, and construction industry.

The technician will operate testing equipment, conduct tests on soil and concrete, and maintain documentation while communicating effectively with clients and project teams. A valid driver's license and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are required.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $25 - $28/hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you’ll do

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally and be able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
• Ability to work over night hours and off shift
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some Construction Materials Testing experience
• ACI certification or other construction related certifications
