Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Burnet, Texas is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support purification systems. You will decontaminate equipment, sample and fill products, and perform inspections to meet safety and quality standards.

Cross-functional teamwork and a day shift (6am–6pm) after training are required. The ideal candidate has 0–1 year in a technical field, a high school diploma, and a willingness to learn SAP and ISO procedures.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a technical field (chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree is a plus.
• Previous chemical handling and manufacturing exposure is beneficial.
• Familiarity with inventory management and ISO standards is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 130 lbs; strong attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of manufacturing equipment; sample, fill, and inspect final products.
• Pull chemistry samples and submit to the lab for analysis; inspect products for quality.
• Maintain labs including PMs, ordering supplies, cleanup and waste disposal; ensure on-time delivery.
• Propose and implement process improvements; follow SOPs and safety standards.

Job description

Job Title: Engineering Technician I

Our site in Burnet is seeking a Engineering Technician I position in receiving to join our team. In this role you would be responsible for starting, monitoring, and troubleshooting purification systems. Additionally, the technician will perform decontamination, sampling, filling, and inspecting products. This role will be part of a team that strives to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality while meeting the timeliness of our customer’s desire. Furthermore, the technician will work cross-functionally. Shift schedule is a 3-2-2-3 on day at 6am - 6pm shift once fully trained and certified.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform decontamination of manufacturing equipment; Sample, fill, and inspect final products. Pull chemistry samples and submit to the lab for analysis;; Perform inspection of complete product to ensure proper quality standards; Perform lab maintenance including PMs, ordering supplies, cleanup and waste disposal; Ensure on-time delivery of high volume products from make to ship; Propose and implement process improvements Other duties as assigned.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• 0-1 years of experience in a technical field (chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field a plus
• Previous chemical handling experience
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus; Knowledge of inventory management; SAP experience is a plus; Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45000
• Frequently lift up to 50lbs and push up to 130lbs;
• Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and to perform multiple tasks;
