AMETEK is seeking an Engineering Technician in Athens, Ohio, to assemble and test Stirling engines for spaceflight. The role requires excellent mechanical skills, proficiency in reading technical documentation, and attention to detail.
You will follow engineering directives, prepare test setups, and document test results. A high school diploma is required, along with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $45,000 annually.
Under the direction of the Engineering staff and the Technician Supervisor, Engineering Technicians for spaceflight cryocoolers assemble and test Stirling engines, read mechanical drawings, schematics and other technical documentation, and interface with engineering, drafting, and machine shop personnel to complete assigned technical tasks.
High school diploma, GED, or relevant technical training.
0-2 years relevant experience or equivalent technical training.
