Job summary

LHB, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician (Electrical) to join the Energy & Industry Team in our Duluth or Minneapolis, MN office. You will work with design engineers to process drawings, redlines, and updates in AutoCAD to create detailed electrical designs and schematics.

The role requires an associate degree, hands-on AutoCAD/Microsoft365 experience, and the ability to collaborate in a hybrid work environment, with potential overtime and a path for growth.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting or related field required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 (Excel/Outlook).
• Willing to undergo pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Process drawings and redlines within AutoCAD to create electrical designs.
• Ensure drawings meet client specifications and standards.
• Manage drawings and interface with client document management software.
• Stay current with drafting software tools and techniques.
• Collaborate in a hybrid work environment within multidisciplinary teams.
• Support senior engineers and designers as needed.

Position Summary

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

• Work amongst a team ofdesign engineers and technicianswithin our electrical disciplinetoprocess drawingredlines/commentsand update drawingswithintheAutoCADsoftwareto create detailed andaccurateelectrical designs, plans, schematics, diagrams, layouts, and details

• Ensuredrawings are createdin accordance withclient drafting specifications and standards

• Manage drawings andinterface withclient document management software

• Keepup to datewith advancements in drafting software and relevant drafting tools

• Work effectively in a hybrid work environment

• Work in collaborative groups and multidisciplinary technician teams

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting,EngineeringTechnology, or related field

• Demonstrated knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft365 (i.e.Excel, Outlook)

• Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 yearsor moreofpriorrelevant experience

• Experience reading and interpreting designer/engineer redlines and comments

• Experience with3D modelingsoftware (i.e.Revit)

• Experience using macros in Excel

• Experience with multi-step command routines/programs (i.e.LISP)

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative groupand multidisciplinary team

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to be concise and communicate effectively

• Willingness to work overtime if requested

Salary Range

• This position’santicipatedrate of pay is$24.00- $31.25per hour.(This position is eligible for year-end bonuses and for overtime pay at a rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay for hours workedin excess of40 hoursin a givenworkweek.) Offer will bedeterminedbased on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
