Job summary

TechLink Systems is hiring a Front Line Engineering Technician to provide production support onsite in Minnesota. You will respond to operations escalations, build SME knowledge of manufacturing processes, and coach assemblers to reduce scrap and improve quality.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, documenting issues, and proactively monitoring line performance to drive immediate improvements; overtime may be required, with a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Work Type: 100% fully onsite

Working hours: 5am - 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday

Description:

• Must be open to working overtime based on production and staffing needs (possibly several days a month)
• Front line engineering technician
• Candidate will:
  • Provide production support in clean room >90% of day, responding to escalations from Operations (i.e. scrap, process questions, equipment issues, etc.)
  • Build SME-level knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices and support Operations team in coaching assemblers
  • Investigate scrap generated throughout the shift and understand root cause through dissection and assembler observation/discussion
  • Provide data-driven and evidence-based feedback and coaching to assemblers on scrap
  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and documentation, as required
  • Proactively monitor line performance and drive immediate corrections or escalations

• Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner to meet assigned deadlines

Preferred/Nice to Have

• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Direct production support (front line, day-to-day hands-on experience)
• Manufacturing technician or technologist
• Prior medical device experienceTrade school certification, specialized training/apprenticeship and/or equivalent in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other equivalent
• Training or babysitting experience nice to have as it demonstrates coaching / teaching ability
