Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician to develop and test solutions addressing technical problems across computer repair, assembly, and repair processes. You will assist engineers, perform data analysis, and contribute to system requirements evaluation and implementation, using math and science to improve processes.

The role requires a BS in CS/IS (or business admin) with fluency in English and willingness to work overtime for special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IS-related field preferred; degree in business administration considered.
• Experience in related computer repair industry preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL and databases required.
• Fluent in English.
• Manufacturing or computer industry experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated skill set while working with Temp Agency.

Responsibilities

• Creates solutions to technical problems and assists engineers in development of improved processes and assembly/repair systems.
• Performs research and development as instructed by engineering manager.
• Uses math and science to support engineers in process improvements and system design.
• Performs quality control testing, assembly, and maintenance duties as required.
• Participates in system requirements evaluation, analysis, and implementation.
• Implements warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs to improve product flow.
