Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technician - Controls to support manufacturing operations, troubleshoot controls systems, and drive continuous improvement on the floor. You will assist with commissioning, documentation, and qualification protocols while ensuring cGMP, FDA, ISO and OSHA compliance.

The role focuses on day-to-day floor support, equipment startup, and integration with Engineering and Production teams.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, ISO, and/or cGMP).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Maintenance, Skilled Trades, Manufacturing Engineering, or Controls Engineering preferred.
  • Industrial controls and automation systems experience.
  • PLC, HMI, and VFD troubleshooting and programming.

Job description

The Engineering Technician - Controls provides technical support for manufacturing operations, controls systems, and process improvement initiatives. This role supports compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO, OSHA, and company procedures while assisting Engineering and Production teams with troubleshooting, commissioning, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

This position is responsible for day-to-day manufacturing floor support, technical documentation, execution of qualification protocols, and assistance with engineering projects. The role may expand as additional competencies are developed.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant technical coursework required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Maintenance, Skilled Trades, Manufacturing Engineering, or Controls Engineering preferred.
