Job Description:

• Mechanical Assembly Skills: Proficiency in building complex mechanical assemblies.
• Computer Skills: Adept at programming assemblies using relevant software.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering work instructions, drawings, or schematics to effectively perform job duties.
• Supervision: Capable of working under direct supervision, adhering to a prescribed set of processes and procedures.
• Collaboration with Engineers: Engage directly with engineers to optimize processes in a Lean production environment, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to support GEMBA activities focused on safety, quality, deliveries, improvements, and 5S+1 activities.
• Interdepartmental Communication: Ability to communicate with contacts both within and outside the department, involving the exchange of information that requires explanation or interpretation to reach mutual understanding and agreement.
• Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to learn new tools.
• Team Impact: Strong motivation to positively impact the performance and work experience of the team.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• MES and PLM applications experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift to 35lbs of weight to workbench.
• Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Occasional weekend, off-shift, and overtime work.
