Job summary

The City of Apache Junction Economic Development seeks an Engineering Inspector support role within the city’s engineering division. You will assist with planning, design, and construction administration for CIP projects; review plans; and coordinate public improvements for development.

You will read project documents, prepare reports, assist with AZPDES permitting, GIS data tasks, and provide customer service to staff and the public.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Applied Sciences and two years of municipal or private sector engineering inspection experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and construction administration for CIP projects.
• Review Civil Improvement Plans and plats for commercial, industrial and residential sites.
• Coordinate public improvements for development; survey minor land divisions and lot adjustments.
• Assist with AZPDES permitting and MS4 programs; prepare project reports.
• Read and review construction documents to determine materials and dimensions; document activities.
