It’s not you, it’s us! We’re really excited about the potential of our technology, product, and mission, and have chosen to remain in stealth mode. If the job description piques your interest, please apply. If your skillset is aligned with what we’re looking for, the team will reach out to schedule your interview and tell you a bit more about us (e.g. who we are).

Role

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the assembly, testing, and development of next‑generation battery cells. This role will work closely with engineers and scientists to build prototype and pilot‑scale cells, execute manufacturing processes, collect data, and help scale production from development into commercialization.

Unlike large‑scale automated manufacturing environments, this position involves significant manual assembly, process experimentation, and problem‑solving. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, follows detailed procedures, and is excited about contributing to the growth of a rapidly evolving battery technology company.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble battery cells and related components according to engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Perform battery cell assembly processes including electrode preparation, stacking, winding, tabbing, sealing, electrolyte filling, and formation activities.
  • Operate laboratory, pilot‑line, and production equipment used in battery cell manufacturing.
  • Conduct in‑process inspections and quality checks to ensure cells meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Record manufacturing data, process parameters, and observations accurately.
  • Support engineers with prototype builds, process development activities, and manufacturing trials.
  • Troubleshoot assembly, equipment, and process issues and communicate findings to engineering and operations teams.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, including dry room and controlled‑environment areas.
  • Prepare materials, consumables, and tooling needed for daily production and development activities.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, material handling, and production readiness activities.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance yield, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, laboratory operations, battery manufacturing, electronics assembly, semiconductor manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and precision equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with production records, spreadsheets, or data entry systems.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and delivers work with a high degree of precision and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assembling lithium‑ion batteries, battery cells, fuel cells, or other energy storage products.
  • Familiarity with dry room, cleanroom, or controlled manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Degree or technical certification in manufacturing technology, engineering technology, electronics, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience participating in process improvement or manufacturing scale‑up efforts.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive assembly tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks requiring dexterity and precision.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work in dry room or controlled‑environment conditions.
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a team developing next‑generation battery technology.
  • Work directly with engineers and scientists to bring innovative products to market.
  • Gain exposure to battery development, manufacturing scale‑up, and commercialization.
  • Make a meaningful impact in a growing, mission‑driven company.
  • Enjoy opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
