Job summary

Amtec Staffing in Tucson, AZ is seeking candidates currently enrolled in school to work part-time (20 hours per week) with potential to move to full-time. This role supports engineering activities and provides hands-on testing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include preparing test equipment, setting up lab instruments, recording data in spreadsheets, drafting CAD models and drawings, and following corporate procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled, class of 2027.
• Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of CAD.
• Experience or training with procedures and instructions.
• Methodical and able to record and process test data and create reports.

Responsibilities

• This position is generally responsible for supporting engineering.
• Prepare test equipment and samples for testing and perform testing under the direction of Product Engineers.
• Set up and operate mechanical lab equipment and record technical test data in spreadsheets.
• Use a variety of mechanical test tools, scales, and measurement instruments.
• Create and revise CAD models and drawings.
• Follow corporate procedures, including Purchase Orders and Engineering Change Orders.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
