Job Description:

Essential Functions:
  • Apply advanced knowledge and understanding of engineering terminology, industry standards, and technical specifications to accurately interpret and execute manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform assembly operations on Cable Harnesses, CCAs (Circuit Card Assemblies) and sub-assemblies in support of high-performance, high-reliability programs within a development manufacturing environment.
  • Build and integrate complex wiring harnesses and CCAs using engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and related documentation.
  • Establish and follow effective methods and sequences of operations to ensure precision and quality in all builds.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and refine written and paperless work instructions, including rework procedures.
  • Execute complex rework independently, maintaining compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by supporting overtime requirements, working across multiple locations, and adjusting to shifting program priorities.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Working knowledge of the following certifications: J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC-620, NASA 8739.1 & 8739.4, ESD, Hi-Rel, and FOD control.
  • Skilled in high-reliability soldering techniques (per IPC J-STD-001 and NASA-STD-8739.3/4).
  • Proficient in precision crimping, connectorization, and termination of contacts per NASA and IPC standards.
  • Ability to apply proper shielding, grounding, and EMI/RFI mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with conformal coating, potting compounds, and protective finishes for cable assemblies.
  • Skilled in cable routing, lacing, and strain relief to meet structural and environmental requirements.
  • Experience in an Engineering development environment.
  • Experience working in Cable Harness and CCA Manufacturing.
