Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY seeks an Engineering Tech B to support SMT equipment on the first shift at the Jefferson Road Operations Center. You will program, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while driving improvement initiatives and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 0–2 years of related experience, and familiarity with IPC standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Experience operating or troubleshooting SMT equipment.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision; flexible schedule to meet production needs.
• Experience with Lean/6 Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen tools and processes.
• Working knowledge of IPC documentation, including IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC 7711/7721.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the SMT equipment on fist shift at the Jefferson Road Operations Center.
• Program, troubleshoot, and repair SMT equipment while balancing equipment support with improvement initiatives.

It will be essential for this role to work well with cross functional teams to understand and prioritize shop floor issues and communicate with other shifts to relay issues faced and resolved.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is [$45,000 - $84,000]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
