Position Summary

The Engineering Technician will design, program, manufacture, and verify a variety of programs, setups, and fixtures for NC machines and offline processes. They will also assist Production and Quality as a technical resource for troubleshooting and applications assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and verify setups, fixtures, and programs for NC machines and offline processes.
  • Assist in training production employees on setups, fixtures, and machine operations.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with applications on machining, burning, forming, and welding processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Model and export new parts and revision changes.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineers with project development and management.
  • Guide team members to meet project specifications.
  • Maintain tool crib, including stocking and issuing consumables.
  • Participate in other projects as assigned by manufacturing engineers or management.
  • Analyze space requirements, prepare layouts for new equipment, and evaluate material flow to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Maintain the engineering/fixture building area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Provide error-free work to internal and external customers.
  • Work a flexible schedule, handle special projects, perform clerical tasks, and assist other departments as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of manufacturing experience; lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of NC machine operation experience required; VMC or HMC experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong math, problem-solving skills, with knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to read and use measuring devices and interpret prints and drawings.
  • Capable of working in a high-paced manufacturing environment and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and conversational English.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 20-50 lbs. repetitively.
  • Bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for prolonged periods.
  • Walk 2-5 miles per shift.
  • Good vision (20/30 with correction).
  • Maintain hand-eye coordination for precise manipulation.
Environmental Conditions

Work indoors and outdoors, exposed to changing temperatures, loud noises, vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, heat, chemicals, fumes, dust, gases, and oils.
