The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting, perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions.

The group you’ll be a part of

As part of a cross‑functional team, you collaborate closely with engineers, quality assurance, and production to ensure that all components meet design specifications and perform reliably in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Perform testing, check‑out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment, helping to determine methods to remedy malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check‑out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.

Who We’re Looking For

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work a shift‑based schedule as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Certificate in a related technical field.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1‑2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
