Job Title:
Engineering Technician- 1st shift | Location: Warren, PA | Pay Range: $32-$35/hour
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and repairs electronic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
- Inspects, dismantles, and reassembles mechanical and electrical production equipment.
- Works from engineering drawings, sketches, manuals, verbal instructions, schematics, blueprints, or layout plans.
- Communicates daily with associates to assist and learn problem solutions for production equipment.
- Develops maintenance materials for specific areas of expertise.
- Makes maintenance decisions based on production priorities and resources.
- Provides guidance to associates in maintenance techniques.
- Maintains knowledge of spare parts, recommending maximum and minimum levels.
- Assists Engineering with projects as needed.
- Attends maintenance meetings.
- Participates in TPM training, audits, and reporting.
- Performs routine audits and reports on TPM outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to connect to PLC via laptop for troubleshooting.
- Operates electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical drives and troubleshooting using manuals.
- Experience in electrical projects, modifications, and repairs to high standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and replace/install circuit boards.
- Experience troubleshooting communication systems in PLCs.
- Capable of replacing PLC processors and performing software backups.
- Ability to install and maintain PLC hardware.
- Skilled in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting servo motors.
- Related college/technical school education or equivalent experience in mechanical and electrical fields.
- Proficient with drawings, mathematics, formulas, and precision instruments.
- Trade knowledge in specialized fields, equivalent to 1-3 years of training.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with maintenance and repair of production equipment.
