Engineer Techs are an integral part of the team supporting the manufacture of key Enerpac and Simplex products. Program and operate CNC equipment safely, timely, and efficiently while utilizing CAD/CAM technology to support production requirements. Prepare cost estimates by reviewing labor, material, and time requirements, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents. Identify areas of improvement within the operation and continue to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
Education Requirements : Associate Degree in drafting, design, manufacturing technology, or equivalent; technical diploma/certificate . We would expect the person holding this position to further their education to become a Manufacturing Engineer by education while gaining the practical experience in this role.
Experience Requirements : 3-5 years of experience in CNC manufacturing processes and process improvement within a Lean environment accepted. Fluent demonstrated CNC programming skills on lathes and machining centers is expected.
Certification Requirements : N/A
Employee will lift 1-30 pounds intermittently and may have to lift documents/work materials up to 40 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk to a variety of primary work locations. Employee will need manual (hand) dexterity to assemble/repair small parts for long periods of time. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce.
Employee will be in a manufacturing environment where they may work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to vibration. Employee will be exposed to elevated levels of noise on the plant floor.
