Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of mechanical or electrical experience is strongly preferred, or engineering graduates with some intern experience.
• AA degree or higher.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills: word processing, data entry, email.
• Basic science and/or math skills.
• Team orientation and strong documentation skills.
• Mechanical or electrical background preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures while troubleshooting.
• Experience with technical documentation and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with lab equipment debugging and measurement tools (scopes, meters).
• Understanding of technical schematics and specifications.
• Strong computer experience with Microsoft tools and statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• Make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Maintain medical device laboratory equipment and manage inventory levels for laboratory supplies.
• Write experimental reports, summaries, and protocols.
• Develop and maintain record-keeping for experiments performed.
• Conduct limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.
• Participate in routine assembly and testing portions of projects, including product performance and software script testing.

Immediate need for a talented Engineering Technician. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Round Lake, IL (Onsite).
