Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Engineering Technician to support panel building and field wiring for industrial automation projects at our Reno facility. You will assemble control cabinets, wire panels to robot controllers, and troubleshoot three-phase systems in a fast-paced team environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with UL 508A, PLCs, Ethernet/IP/Profinet, and a strong grounding in industrial controls. This contract-to-hire role offers onsite work with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

• Handle network wiring, specifically with Profinet and Ethernet cables.
• Utilize knowledge of industrial connectors, such as 7/8ths field wireables and M12 connectors for various applications.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in panel building and control panels.
• Experience with industrial controls and UL 508A standards.
• Expertise in automation and manufacturing automation.
• Strong understanding of PLC, industrial wiring, and robotics.
• Capability in field wiring, low voltage DC, and three-phase systems.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and M12 connectors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Siemens, TIA Portal, and WinCC.
• Experience with Fanuc, Ignition, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell systems.
• Knowledge of Beckhoff, Omron, and vision systems.
• Skills in commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and machine building.
• Understanding of conveyor systems and material handling.

Work Environment

The position is based at a facility in Reno, NV, allowing you to avoid commuting to USA Parkway. The environment consists of a close-knit group of engineers and team members who serve the internal client, fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
