Job summary

TDK-Lambda Americas is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform electrical testing of analog circuits and support qualification and design verification of new and existing products.

You will collaborate with Electronic Engineers to set up test equipment, gather and analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality requirements.

Job description

The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands‑on Engineering Technician to perform electrical testing of analog electronic circuits and support the qualification and design verification of new and existing products.

In this role, you will work closely with Electronic Engineers to conduct testing on power supplies and related equipment. You will set up test equipment, assemble products when required, collect and analyze test data, document results, troubleshoot product issues, and help ensure that products meet design, safety, performance, and quality requirements.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct electrical testing of power supplies and analog electronic circuits with the Engineering team at a test bench.
  • Perform qualification, safety-agency, and design‑verification testing for new and existing products.
  • Assemble products or test equipment when required.
  • Work with Engineering and other technical personnel to complete assigned tasks and activities.
  • Compile test data and prepare reports for review with engineers.
  • Analyze measured and calculated test results in relation to design specifications, rated specifications, and test objectives.
  • Modify or adjust test equipment and test setups as necessary to support testing requirements and specifications.
  • Confer with Engineering and technical personnel to resolve:
    • Product or equipment issues
    • Equipment malfunctions
    • Incomplete test data
    • Data interpretation questions
    • Other testing problems
  • Record test procedures, test results, numerical data, graphical data, and recommendations for product or test‑method changes.
  • Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions.
  • Perform testing to investigate design proposals, improve equipment performance, and obtain data for development, standardization, and quality‑control activities.
  • Review calibration stickers and calibration certificates for Safety Engineering equipment after annual calibration is completed.
  • Verify that calibration information is accurate and that measurement uncertainty complies withUL Document 00-OP-C0034, Equipment Accuracy Requirement.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged products when required.
  • Follow applicable electrical safety, laboratory, quality, and testing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • One to two years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of electronic testing techniques and test equipment.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • DC circuits
    • AC circuits
    • Analog electronic circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as:
    • Safety rules
    • Operating and maintenance instructions
    • Procedure manuals
    • Technical documentation
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts involving:
    • Proportions
    • Percentages

    • Circumference
    • Volume
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Ability to apply common‑sense understanding when carrying out written, oral, or diagram‑based instructions.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Compensation

$26.00–$35.00 per hour

This is TDK‑Lambda Americas’ good‑faith anticipated hourly wage range for this position. The actual starting wage within the range may depend on relevant education, training, experience, transferable skills, internal equity, business needs, market conditions, and other lawful factors.

The stated range reflects the anticipated compensation as of the posting date and may be updated if the position’s responsibilities or compensation structure changes.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands‑on engineering and electrical‑testing position performed primarily at an electronics test bench and in an engineering, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.

Work must be performed in accordance with applicable electrical safety procedures, training requirements, and company policies.
