Job summary

X4 Engineering in Midland, TX is seeking a WellEZ Administrator to oversee operational reporting, data governance, and system management across drilling, completions, workover, and production activities.

This role will act as the primary owner of WellEZ, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while partnering closely with field operations, engineering, and management teams to maintain high-quality operational data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in WellEZ administration, engineering support, operations reporting, or related upstream oil & gas role.
• Strong hands-on WellEZ experience, including system administration or power-user responsibilities.
• Understanding of drilling, completions, production, and workover operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with reporting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator and SME for WellEZ.
• Manage daily operational reporting and ensure data accuracy across field activities.
• Review, validate, and maintain operational data, activity codes, event tracking, and reporting structures.
• Support drilling, completions, workover, and production teams with reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies with field and office personnel.
• Train users on reporting processes, standards, and system best practices.
• Support reporting, analytics, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain data integrity and drive standardization across reporting workflows.

An upstream oil & gas operator is looking to add a WellEZ Administrator to support operational reporting, data governance, and system management across drilling, completions, workover, and production activities.

This position will act as the primary owner of WellEZ, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while partnering closely with field operations, engineering, and management teams to maintain high-quality operational data.

This role is based in Midland and the client are currently only considering candidates in the area already.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for WellEZ.
• Manage daily operational reporting and ensure data accuracy across field activities.
• Review, validate, and maintain operational data, activity codes, event tracking, and reporting structures.
• Support drilling, completions, workover, and production teams with reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies through collaboration with field and office personnel.
• Train users on reporting processes, standards, and system best practices.

Required Skillset:

• 5+ years of experience in WellEZ administration, engineering support, operations reporting, or a related upstream oil & gas role.

• Understanding of drilling, completions, production, and workover operations.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
• Experience supporting operational reporting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with field and office teams.
• Experience with Power BI, ProCount, or similar reporting and analytics platforms is advantageous.
