Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technician for a defense-industry client in Melbourne, FL. The role supports all manufacturing operations, working with engineers on set-up and calibration, and performing rework and quality testing of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Qualifications

• Experience testing, troubleshooting, and RF/analog and digital circuits to the component level with test equipment.
• 2 years of experience with a secondary/AA/AS degree
• 3-5 years of experience with HS degree
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance
• Experience working from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures to diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment
• Experience supporting electro-mechanical assembly or manufacturing assembly
• Experience working under a microscope and with small tools
• Experience/Knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC-610 (Soldering)
• Able to use computers and MS Word and office proficiently

This person will be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience testing, troubleshooting, and RF/analog and digital circuits to the component level with test equipment, i.e., signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and RF equipment
• 2 years of experience with a secondary/AA/AS degree
• 3-5 years of experience with HS degree
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance
• Experience working from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures to diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment
• Experience supporting electro-mechanical assembly or manufacturing assembly
