Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is hiring a full-time maintenance technician to support hospital operations. You will perform repairs, interpret blueprints, and ensure documentation is completed within 24 hours of service.

The role requires a High School diploma or 5+ years of experience and a valid Driver's License, with day-shift coverage at this facility in Shawnee Mission, KS. Pay ranges from $18.39 to $29.43 per hour, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: 0+ general [Preferred].
• Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License [Required].

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates willingness to perform any required task to support medical center operations.
• Routes work orders to appropriate craft/shop for follow-up and completion.
• Checks DIN book at each nurse’s station and makes repairs or reports them to Facilities Management.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings for job completion.
• Maintains current and accurate work order documentation within 24 hours of work performed.
• Ensures quality of work with no more than two callbacks on the same job per month.
• Consistently meets preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintains knowledge of main panels and shutoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monitors building conditions and communicates needs to Facilities Management.
• Covers shifts or specific assignments as required by medical center needs.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance as directed.
