Job summary

Yulista Tactical Services, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician II at Fort Huachuca, AZ to install, repair, maintain and test various electronic and mechanical equipment for USAOTC/IEWTD under TTSS. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience, or U.S. Military honorable discharge.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain, or currently possess, a minimum of a Secret Clearance.
  • Fluent English; able to read, write and speak clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Construct components, subunits, or simple models or adapt standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
  • Follow specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment.
  • Conduct tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures, and record data.
  • Extract and compile engineering data from field notes, manuals, and lab reports, processing data and identifying inconsistencies.
  • Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications and materials; develop information about prior failures and modifications.
  • Provide guidance for test planning activities.

Primary Function

Yulista Tactical Services, LLC has an opening for an Engineering Technician II supporting the US Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) Intelligence Electronic Warfare Test Directorate (IEWTD) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona for the Test Technology Support Services (TTSS) contract. The Engineering Technician II utilizes technical knowledge of electronics principles to install, repair, modify, maintain, test, and develop various types of mechanical, electronic, and electrical equipment and related devices.

Essential Duties
  • Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
  • Selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents.
  • Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed.
  • Performs recurring work independently.
  • Performs one or more typical duties at this level, including:
    • Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapting standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
    • Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment.
    • Conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures, and making subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and recording test data.
    • Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation.
    • Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and using judgement and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
    • Providing guidance for test planning activities.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience, or U.S. Military honorable discharge, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain, or currently possess, a minimum of a Secret Clearance.
  • Must fluently speak, read, understand, and write English.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre‑employment physical and drug test.
