Job summary

Turnberry Ocean Colony in Sunny Isles Beach, FL is seeking an Engineer to supervise maintenance, drive efficiency, and ensure resident and guest satisfaction. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt role supports the Engineering Manager in coordinating repairs and projects across the property.

The position requires hands-on maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life-safety systems, with on-call rotations and flexible hours to support a luxury community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Plumbing systems and repairs.
• Painting and general building maintenance.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Safe and proficient use of hand and power tools.
• Preventive maintenance procedures.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises the administration, improvement, maintenance, and general operations of properties.
• Designs, schedules, and coordinates general upkeep, major repairs, remodeling, or construction projects.
• Taking feedback from residents.

• Maintains property records including costs, permits, and availability.
• Understands general safety guidelines and compliance with safety regulations.
• Pursues ongoing industry training and certifications.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure the highest level of resident and guest satisfaction by offering prompt, professional, courteous, and dedicated services. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages and supervises the administration, improvement, maintenance, and general operations of commercial, industrial, or residential properties
• Designs, schedules, and coordinates general upkeep, major repairs, remodeling, or construction projects of the property
• Taking feedback from residents
• Determine whether repairs and/or maintenance are needed based on regular inspections of the grounds, facilities, and equipment
• Acts as the liaison between onsite managers, tenants, and owners
• Maintains property records including maintenance and operating costs; special permits issued; and property availability
• Understanding of general safety guidelines
• Understanding & compliance with safety regulations and other laws
• Successfully completing ongoing industry training & certifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
