Job summary

Hunters Run in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to keep the club’s facilities and equipment in good working order. You will supervise maintenance staff, assist with work orders, and help run preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and oversee maintenance technicians and oversee work/projects for timely completion and quality.
• Assist with creating and organizing work orders and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist or cover facility manager duties in their absence.
• Perform or assist with preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (switches, receptacles, breakers, motors, fixtures).
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plumbing (faucets, sinks, toilets, drains, valves).
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair carpentry (doors, furniture, shelving).
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair finishes (paint, drywall, wallpaper).
• Pressure wash buildings and related areas; assist in drain line jetting.
• Drive golf cart or company vehicle; keep workshop and club clean and safe.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by Facilities leadership.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Maintenance Technician keeps the physical structure, appearance and associated equipment of the Club in good working order by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train, mentors and oversees work/projects of maintenance technicians. To ensure timely completion and quality of work.
• Assist with creating and/or organizing work orders and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist or complete facility manager duties in their absence.
• Performs or assists in preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical to include light switches, receptacles, breakers, motors, light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts/drivers, and ceiling fans, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plumbing to include faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, urinals, flush valves and water valves. Clears plumbing blockages using a plunger, hand snake or electrical drain snake, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair carpentry to include cabinet repairs, wood and metal door and door hinges, closures, locksets, light furniture repairs, picture and mirror installation, shelving installation, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair finishes to include small drywall repairs, priming and final coats of paint with usage of brush, roller or sprayer, wallpaper, textured surfaces etc.
• Pressure cleans buildings, walkways, cart paths, and assists in drain line jetting, etc.
• Drives a golf cart or company truck/van.
• Maintains a clean and safe workshop, club, and workspace.
• Perform any additional tasks as requested by Facilities leadership.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma, or GED preferred
• 3-5 years of experience is preferred in all aspects of commercial building maintenance and repairs
• Experience in a Country Club or resort is a plus

• Must be at least 18 years old and available to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English well, fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Licenses or Certificates

• Valid driver's license
• Certifications in trades a plus
