Job summary

MACOM, a global leader in RF, microwave, and photonics semiconductor technology, is seeking an Engineering Technician for MACOM's RTP site in North Carolina. This role focuses on sustaining GaN on SiC device processes in the Etch and Dielectric Thin Film area, supporting engineering and fab operations, and driving improvements in cycle time and quality.

The candidate will conduct experiments, characterize processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturing metrics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in engineering or equivalent with 5 years of experience in semiconductor processing.
• Experience in Dry Etch and Thin film deposition is highly desired.
• Comfortable with wet etch processing is a plus.
• Flexible working style with the ability to multitask.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Sustain GaN on SiC device processes in the Etch and Dielectric Thin film deposition area at MACOM's RTP location.
• Support Engineering and Fab Operations Teams in all areas of fabrication, engineering projects, and to meet factory indicators.
• Conduct experiments, characterize processes and drive continuous improvements in cycle time and quality.
