Engineering Technician II

• Performs advanced technical and limited supervisory engineering support for a wide range of engineering activities.
• Coordinates and supports engineering projects; interprets engineering standards and guidelines; conducts inspections; evaluates materials and construction activities; assists with traffic and infrastructure improvements; reviews engineering-related work.
• Provides technical guidance and training to others.
• Works under the general supervision of engineering staff and reports to the Assistant City Engineer.
• Communicates technical and non-technical information clearly and professionally with City staff, contractors, outside agencies, and the public.

Engineering Technician III

• Provides expert-level technical engineering support and serves as a senior team member with responsibility for advanced technical judgment and oversight of complex engineering and construction projects and programs.
• Coordinates and oversees planning, design, construction, and rehabilitation activities.
• Ensures projects and programs are administered efficiently and in compliance with applicable standards.
• Applies advanced technical judgment in project delivery.
• Mentors and trains Engineering Technicians.
• Works under the general supervision of engineering staff and reports to the Assistant City Engineer.
• Communicates technical and non-technical information clearly and professionally with City staff, contractors, outside agencies, and the public.
