Job summary

Lcibest is seeking an Engineering Technician in Abilene, TX for full-time employment. The role entails maintenance, sustainment, and project support, requiring clearance eligibility and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The engineer will develop and manage documentation, planning, and execution of FS RM projects, with strong emphasis on safety and compliance, in a government-related setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of HVAC or electrical building code experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
• Extensive knowledge of industry trends, codes, and regulations.
• Experience with CAD tools and design documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized expertise and recommendations in relation to Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects.
• Plan, organize, and lead studies, designs, and construction projects, record and manage the processes and documentation, and negotiate effectively.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle, navigating on both paved and gravel roads.
• Assist with schedule support, project level meeting attendance, database support, and budget submittals.
• Assist with cost/schedules/status report reviews, scientific and technical research/document reviews/recommendations, and analysis of program and project data gaps.
• Must be detailed and safety oriented.

Position Summary

The Engineering Technician will perform unscheduled work, sustainment work (preventive maintenance), corrective maintenance and enhancement work which includes preparation of memos, plans, specifications, drawings, planning/programming/execution documents, papers, letters, presentations, briefings, and other correspondence, in addition to leading and/or participating in the required meetings/visits, and planning/programming/execution conferences/meetings as required to support project development. This position is considered contingent upon award.

Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position

Duties & Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes, Air Force and DoD regulations and other documentation.
• Assist with schedule support, project level meeting attendance, database support, and budget submittals.
• Assist with cost/schedules/status report reviews, scientific and technical research/document reviews/recommendations, and analysis of program and project data gaps.
• Must be detailed and safety oriented.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in either HVAC or Electrical building code requirements.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

• The ability to diagram designs both manually and with computer-aided drafting.
