Overview

The Lead Systems Engineer will lead cross‑functional teams through concept development and execution of key mining projects. The role involves interacting directly with customers during product definition, partnering with stakeholders, and driving the execution from development of requirements through production launch.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of overall system requirements and recommend design approaches to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the NPI process, executing design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects with sound engineering principles and adherence to business standards.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to guide cross‑functional team execution.
• Influence the technical direction of the organization to align with long‑term strategies and short‑term project goals.
• Document technical data generated consistently with engineering policies and procedures, and prepare invention disclosures and patents as required.
• Communicate timely and effectively across functions and to various levels of the organization.
• Participate in teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives and engineering issues.
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, commercial supply chain, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• At least 10 years of experience in an engineering position within the Marine, Stationary, Mining, Locomotive, Oil & Gas, or related heavy equipment industry.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $79,100 – $112,800. The actual salary offered may be influenced by training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. Benefits include health, welfare, and retirement plans; additional benefits may include an annual bonus if eligible.

Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.
