Richco Structures is looking to grow our design team! Remote not available.

The Truss Designer reads residential and commercial plans to design wood trusses using software for roof, floor, and wall truss systems. The designer communicates both verbally and in writing to members of the team, customers, and production staff to ensure the designs are accurate and meet the customers' specifications.

Duties include:

• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Design structural components
• Produce individual plans and final layouts for roof, floor, and wall trusses
• Resolve any discrepancies as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of design or drafting experience/training. Will train.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Knowledge of the construction industry
• Strong math skills
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Strong work ethic
