Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Engineering Technical Supervisor to lead multi-disciplinary technologists supporting S300 firing operations at Site 300 in Tracy, CA. This on-site, full-time career-indefinite position requires an active DOE Q or Top Secret clearance and strong leadership across engineering teams.

You will supervise 8+ staff, manage personnel actions, coordinate with division leadership, and ensure safety and programmatic standards while driving design

Qualifications

• Requires active DOE Q clearance or active Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Advanced leadership and administrative skills including resource planning and staff development.
• Proficient with Office 365 and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a minimum of 8 individuals across mechanical, electronics, and coordination disciplines.
• Collaborate to define requirements, solve complex problems, and evaluate design concepts within schedule and cost constraints.
• Recruiting, hiring, performance evaluations, salary recommendations, and disciplinary actions for the group.
• Plan, budget, and participate in decision-making and change processes.
• Provide technical and administrative support to group leaders and program management.
• Lead design reviews, reports, and procedures; ensure quality adherence to standards.
• Oversee engineering design, fabrication, and assembly processes.
