TikTok USDS Joint Venture in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Technical Lead to architect AI-driven automation and scalable infrastructure that empowers multiple business units. You will drive architectural decisions, standards, and the adoption of intelligent tooling across data security and platform teams.
You will mentor engineers, shape the engineering culture, and partner with Legal, Finance, and HR to enable self-service data solutions while maintaining strong security and compliance controls.
About the Team: The TikTok U.S. Data Security (USDS) team is responsible for the security, integrity, and compliance of TikTok’s data within the United States. The Data Platform Team builds a scalable, reliable, cost-efficient infrastructure that ensures data integrity and empowers every business unit to win through self-service tools and scientific insights.
As a Technical Lead, you will be the primary architect of our "technical multiplier" strategy. You won't just build tools; you will define the vision for how AI-driven automation and intelligent infrastructure can eliminate operational bottlenecks across the entire company. You will lead high-stakes initiatives that bridge the gap between complex data security requirements and world-class engineering efficiency.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $187,040 - $438,000 annually. Compensation may vary depending on qualifications, skills, and location. The role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
