Job summary

Applied Technical Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician Level 3 to support NSWC Panama City Division. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining laboratory equipment under Code X cognizance, with emphasis on depot-level activities and repair processes.

The position requires a Secret level clearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. On-site work in Panama City, FL, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• Three to five years of relevant experience is required.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Haystack, CMPRO, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgement with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to technical problems.
• Inspect, test hardware, and modify systems per engineering changes.
• Conduct research, collect data, and write daily reports.
• Use CAD designs and implement feedback from Engineers.
• Provide technical assistance to the Fleet, including on-site engineering investigations and consultant engineering.
• Conduct supply support, coordination for procuring, kitting, and delivery for Code X Laboratories.
• Run tests, diagnostics, and calibrations.
• Conduct experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.
• Inspect inventory and reorder materials and components.
• Analyze operations and offer improvement ideas.
• Maintain records and assist with presentations.
• Attend conferences and participate in learning opportunities.
