Sigma Defense Systems LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a General Engineering Technician to support mechanical assembly and integration on site. The role involves manual labor, use of hand and power tools, and lifting 50-75 lbs; training is provided for tasks you don't know.

Candidates should have 1-3 years of relevant experience, be a US citizen, and able to obtain an active Secret clearance. Travel may occur for repairs and testing.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs
• Must be able bodied
• Must be willing to work around grease, dust, debris, and oil
• Mechanical Assembly or Integration experience is preferred
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of mechanical structures and assemblies
• Mechanical and Electrical integration
• General Maintenance
• Painting and/or coating processes
• Cutting metal tubes or sheet metal
• Operation of hand tools and power tools
• May be involved with 12v and 24v systems (depending on experience)
• Required to lift 50 - 75lbs
