Job summary

Ford Energy, the Ford Motor Company subsidiary focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Leader to guide an agile team in building and improving high‑volume BESS production.

Lead with safety, reliability, and continuous improvement; partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality and IT to deliver 24/7 operations with zero defects. This on‑site role is based at the Glendale, KY facility with competitive compensation and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).
4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in high‑volume automated production environments.
2+ years managing or supervising engineers in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in troubleshooting, configuring, or managing advanced industrial networking and controls architectures.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Safety & Quality Engineering Leadership: advocate for safety and zero-defect goals across technical and automated operations.
Strategic Management & Technical Execution: govern engineering approvals, manage process design, and support validation and installation documentation.
Leadership & Culture: foster trust, promote technical upskilling, and ensure accountability across shifts.
Location & Travel: on-site role with potential travel for supplier buy-offs and alignment.
