Job summary

Valpaks Engineering LLC is seeking an Engineering Technical Administrator to administer and improve its engineering software and documentation systems. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure data accuracy, control, and availability for product development, FAA certification, and production.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience administering engineering software and document management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Windows, networking, and common engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Administer SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional, SOLIDWORKS Manage, CAD apps, SQL Server databases, archive servers, and license services.
• Manage Azure infrastructure for engineering databases, archives, and licenses.
• Handle system maintenance: updates, licensing, backups, monitoring, capacity planning, troubleshooting.
• Maintain PDM/PLM workflows, data cards, templates, permissions, and approvals.
• Develop scripts and integrations to improve efficiency and data exchange.
• Create and maintain controlled engineering documentation and templates.
• Ensure engineering data is released, organized, traceable, and accessible to authorized users.
• Review documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain system configuration records and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
