ALTUS Technology Solutions is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist in Indian Head, MD to join our DoD-focused team. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an active U.S. DoD SECRET clearance (interim acceptable) are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design functions for energetic materials manufacturing projects.
• Develop technical documentation including SOPs, quality production plans, and technical working documents.
• Perform blast analysis for safety, protective engineering, and weapons system validation.
• Assist with analysis of test results, data entry, and basic statistics.
• Perform design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and in-service engineering across energetic projects.
• Provide technical subject matter support in energetics design, development, manufacturing, and in‑service engineering.
• Create and maintain non-controlled documentation, transcription of documents, and data entry.
• Develop management support documentation such as PERT and GANTT charts.
• Create and manage technical data packages (TDPs), budgets, programmatic, and administrative documentation.
• Interact with project managers, supervisors, and civilian technical personnel.
• Maintain records, files, and revision tracking for all technical documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Must have interim clearance before start date)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 Years Of Relevant Engineering Experience
• Experience supporting engineering or technical programs
• Experience with documentation, analysis, and reporting

Preferred:

• Experience supporting energetics, ammunition, explosives, or defense programs
• Experience working at NSWC Indian Head or similar DoD environments
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and technical data packages
• Experience supporting engineering design, testing, or manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting government contracts or technical programs
