Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist II within the Defense Surface Navigation Systems team to support engineering development, ensure documentation quality, configure data, and coordinate across groups.

You will assist with ECNs in TeamCenter, manage configuration data, perform lab tests, and facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders to enable smooth product development.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline.
  • At least 2 years of technical and troubleshooting experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering documentation including specifications, test plans, user manuals, drawings, and reports.
  • Support the release of engineering documents, drawings, code, and executables through ECNs into TeamCenter.
  • Manage engineering data spreadsheets and databases for product configuration tracking.
  • Provide accurate configuration management support across a complex product line.
  • Support export of technical data, ensuring export control compliance.
  • Facilitate and document Product Change Notice (PCN) meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering groups and coordinate project planning or scheduling tasks.
  • Respond to documentation and technical data inquiries from internal teams and external customers.
  • Run structured HW/SW tests in the lab using formal test procedures for embedded navigation system products.

Engineering Support Specialist II - Defense Surface Navigation Systems (Finance)

As an Engineering Support Specialist II within Honeywell Aerospace's Defense Surface Navigation Systems team, you will provide essential support to engineering development activities, ensuring high-quality documentation, accurate configuration management, and efficient coordination across engineering groups.

You will play a critical role in enabling smooth product development workflows by coordinating engineering data, supporting document releases, performing occasional system-level testing in the engineering lab, managing product configuration information, and assisting with communication across internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will directly support the development of new and existing navigation system products for Honeywell Aerospace Technologies.

In this role, you will directly contribute towards the success of the engineering design success by providing critical technical support that includes, but is not limited to:

  • Coordinating engineering documentation including specifications, test plans, user manuals, drawings, and reports
  • Supporting the release of engineering documents, drawings, code, and executables through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) into TeamCenter
  • Managing engineering data spreadsheets and databases for product configuration tracking
  • Providing accurate configuration management support across a complex product line
  • Supporting the export of technical data, ensuring compliance with export control requirements
  • Facilitating and documenting Product Change Notice (PCN) meetings
  • Acting as a liaison between engineering groups and coordinating project planning or scheduling tasks
  • Responding to documentation and technical data inquiries from internal teams and external customers

Key Responsibilities
  • Support engineering workflows by managing documentation, data collection, processing, and engineering records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product configuration information and ensure data integrity
  • Assist with preparation of technical documents including test plans, reports, user manuals, and engineering specifications
  • Support the release process for documents and software deliverables via ECNs in TeamCenter
  • Coordinate communication between engineering teams and support cross-functional alignment
  • Prepare data reports for engineering leadership and customers when needed
  • Ensure compliance with export control regulations for technical data transmission
  • Facilitate engineering change review meetings and maintain meeting artifacts
  • Perform occasional engineering tests in the lab following established test procedures for navigation system HW and SW
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution in technical discipline
  • 2 years of technical and troubleshooting skills within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Communication and collaboration skills
