Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to lead defense navigation system design, integration, and verification across hardware and software interfaces. You will produce requirements, ICDs, and test artifacts, while coordinating with internal teams and external customers on mission-critical programs.

The role emphasizes MBSE with SysML/Cameo, navigation architectures, and adherence to defense standards. A 5+ year background in aerospace systems and a STEM degree are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, specifically in defense navigation or related aerospace/defense systems.
  • Knowledge of navigation system architectures, sensor integration, and signal processing techniques.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools and methodologies, including requirements management, modeling, and simulation software.
  • Experience with defense industry standards and compliance requirements.

As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and integration of advanced defense navigation products. YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, specifically in defense navigation or related aerospace/defense systems
  • Knowledge of navigation system architectures, sensor integration, and signal processing techniques
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools and methodologies, including requirements management, modeling, and simulation software
  • Experience with defense industry standards and compliance requirements

WE VALUE

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience with GPS, inertial navigation systems, and other positioning technologies
  • Experience with software programing and scripting languages like: C/C++, MATLAB, or Python
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and embedded systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Lab experience testing and debugging complex electronic circuits and software using Oscilloscope, network analyzers, multimeters, or logic analyzers
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with Cameo / SysML
  • DOD Security Clearance or ability to attain one
