The unit is looking to fill the position of an Engineering Support Specialist. This position provides engineering level support and will oversee that all bus testing procedures comply with the testing requirements stated in the U.S. DOT, Federal Transit Administration regulations. The position is responsible for performing vehicle emissions and dynamometer testing with faculty and staff and will perform automotive research and testing activities in support of the Bus Testing Center.
This position specifies and purchases equipment required to perform research and testing and ensures that test equipment is operating and calibrated in accordance with ISO-17025 accreditation standards.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies. The position requires operation of a motor vehicle; a valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check are required.
