MTSI seeks an Engineering Support SME in the United States to apply DoD/AF engineering principles, translate user needs into system requirements, and analyze missions for current and future programs. The role requires SAP/SCI experience, a MA/MS/ME degree, and U.S. citizenship. You will contribute to risk management, configuration control, and development of acquisition products while briefing leadership. The position emphasizes independent execution and collaboration across portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of DoD work experience.
  • At least 3 years in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last 5 years.
  • Master's degree (MA/MS/ME) in a relevant field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering support to improve performance and sustainability of programs.
  • Translate user requirements into weapon system requirements for design, development, testing, and fielding.
  • Perform technical and mission analyses to support current and future operational needs.
  • Develop subsystem concepts and perform trade-off assessments of designs/modifications.
  • Support risk management and configuration control processes.
  • Prepare and present technical briefings and acquisition products for WAG activities.

Job description

MTSI is seeking an Engineering Support SME. This position will require the candidate to provide technical support and advice on current and future activities including studies and initiatives. Duties require the successful candidate review, advise, and shape classified initiatives, studies, demonstrations, and programs to meet current and future USAF capability needs. The successful candidate shall have the experience, and skill sets necessary to independently execute the following systems engineering support tasks:Responsibilities:• Apply an understanding of DoD, AF, and common engineering/scientific principles, processes, and procedures to improve performance and sustainability of existing and future programs and projects.• Assist in translating user requirement into weapons system requirements which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate subsystems and associated equipment for eventual fielding and deployment.• Perform technical and mission analyses of existing and future operational requirements to support programs and projects.• Assist in developing subsystem concepts and perform technological/trade-off assessment of proposed designs/modifications.• Support assessment of related AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and shape transition strategies to keep a viable technology base available to support systems development.• Assist in developing systems engineering documents and processes for subsystems and associated projects across the customer's portfolio.• Provide technical and programmatic feedback and advice, develop, and present technical briefings, and develop acquisition products and strategies in support of WAG activities.• Provide support for risk management and configuration control processes.Qualifications:• Possess a minimum of 12 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) work experience• Have no less than three (3) years’ experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the last five (5) years• Possess a Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering MA/MS/ME degree.• Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to the functional area• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements.#LI-HP1TS/SCIPerks and BenefitsVacation:New Hires Accrue 20 days of PTO and 10 Holidays per YearHealth Insurance:Zero Deductible Health PlansFlexible Schedules:Flex SchedulesProfessional Development:Up to $10,000 Annual Education/Training ReimbursementESOP:Funded Stock Ownership Plan401k Match+:6% 401k Match + Immediate VestingBonus Program:Semi-Annual Bonus OpportunityMentorship:Career Mentorship ProgramsWhy is MTSI a great place to workInteresting Work:Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.Values:Our first core value is that employees come first.
