Job summary

Polk County, Oregon, is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the Engineering Division within the Public Works Department. The role leads engineers and technicians to deliver safe, sustainable county infrastructure and ensures compliance with ORS and environmental regulations.

The position emphasizes bridging policy and execution, overseeing roads, bridges, and drainage projects, and maintaining county standards across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Seven (7) years engineering/planning experience, with two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a professional engineering license valid in the State of Oregon.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the Engineering Division.
• Manage a team of professional engineers and technicians to deliver county infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with ORS, environmental regulations, and county standards.
