Job summary

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Supervisor – Product Development to oversee a multidisciplinary team near Binghamton, NY. This hands-on leadership role combines design, prototyping, testing, and eventual product launch responsibilities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 3+ years in product development with hands-on prototyping, and strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency with Creo/Windchill is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of product development engineering with hands-on prototyping.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
• Experience with CAD/PDM systems such as Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Design, Development, and Test Engineers.
• Lead new product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance in design, prototyping, testing, and design reviews.
• Manage priorities and engineering resources across multiple development programs.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, and Application Engineering to support product development and manufacturing transition.
• Drive improvements to prototyping and product development processes.

We have an outstanding opportunity available for an Engineering Supervisor - Product Development near the Binghamton, NY area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to step into a leadership role while remaining actively involved in new product design, prototyping, testing, and product launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Design, Development, and Test Engineers.
• Lead new product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance in design, prototyping, testing, and design reviews.
• Manage priorities and engineering resources across multiple development programs.

Education & Experience:
