London Stock Exchange Group is offering a 9-week summer internship programme for STEM undergraduates in the Boston area. Interns will be placed in development, programming, business analysis or tech project management roles based on skills and interests.
Applicants should be in their junior year and pursuing a STEM degree, with a summer 2028 completion plan. The programme emphasises learning across the breadth of technology and the financial markets, with a rolling review of applications.
June to August 2027 (exact dates to be confirmed based on university term schedules). Please review all the internship programme opportunities and make one application.
To be eligible, you must be in your junior year of your undergraduate studies due to complete all the requirements of your course summer 2028 and studying a ‘STEM’ subject (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).
Roles can vary from development and programming to business analysis and tech project management. During the recruitment process we will get to know your skills and interest and how they align with the needs of the business to place you in the right team. These are real roles. Our 9 weeks summer interns play a part in the success of our organisation, just like they would do as a graduate.
We are passionate about recruiting people who are interested in pursuing a career within Technology and would like to learn about the full breadth of our business – and are interested in playing a part of our development, as it grows and diversifies. You will have an interest in technology demonstrated either via your work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies. For instance, you may be part of a Computing Society, have taught yourself how to code or have focused on technology as part of a university project. You should be interested in financial markets and how technology supports our business. A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions. Individuals who are able to connect the dots and think creatively. The environment we work in is fast paced, you’ll need to demonstrate focus, resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands. People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process. You will stand out to us if you can demonstrate and recognise that what you achieve is equally important to how you achieve it.
30th October, however we recommend an early application because we consider candidates on a rolling basis. Due to the volume of applications, we might close the applications earlier, so we recommend an early application.
First stage: make an application and submit your resume. Second stage: complete Technical and Coding Assessment. Third stage: completing an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. Fourth stage: a video interview where you answer a series of questions using a strength-based interview style. Final stage: a virtual half day assessment centre which involves several different types of exercises – further information provided at the point of invite.
