Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking a student intern in Arkansas to support cost estimating, design work, and environmental studies.

You will assist with construction plans, detailed design calculations, and reports under supervision, gaining hands-on experience while applying basic AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills. This internship emphasizes initiative, independent judgment, and collaboration with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited Engineering school.
• Initiative and ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD & Microsoft Office.
• Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Responsibilities

• Cost estimating and preliminary design.
• Assisting with funding applications and environmental studies.
• Perform detailed reviews, studies, analyses, etc., and prepare detailed report on results and findings.
• Develop construction plans and specifications.
• Perform detailed design calculations.
