Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking an Engineering Student Intern - Electrical for our Pittsburgh office. You will assist in designing electrical systems, telecommunications, security and fire alarm drawings under supervision of senior engineers.

The internship targets ABET-accredited programs and offers hands-on experience in a multi-discipline project team, with opportunities for growth, mentoring, and exposure to real-world projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering (with focus in electrical), or Electrical Engineering Technology program.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical, telecommunications, security and fire alarm system design/construction drawings as part of a multi-discipline project team.
• Work under supervision of a senior engineer/project manager and with designers and technicians.

YOUR DAY-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

Work under the supervision of a senior engineer/project manager and with designers and technicians to produce electrical, telecommunications, security and fire alarm system design/construction drawing for various projects as part of a multi-discipline project team.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• A Junior or Senior who is currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering (with focus in electrical), or Electrical Engineering Technology program
• AutoCAD experience
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• An excellent grasp of your professional field along with leadership, team building and communication abilities.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in handling and solving complex technical and people assignments in line with the company's five core values.
• A valid driver's license.
