Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student Intern - Electrical for our Pittsburgh office.

You will work under a senior engineer/project manager to produce electrical, telecommunications, security and fire alarm system drawings as part of a multi-discipline team. The ideal candidate is a junior or senior enrolled in an ABET-accredited program with electrical focus, has AutoCAD experience, and is proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a junior or senior in an ABET-accredited BS program in Architectural Engineering (electrical focus) or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrates leadership, teamwork and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical, telecommunications, security and fire alarm system design/construction drawings as part of a multi-discipline project team under supervision.

Your Day-day Will Include

Work under the supervision of a senior engineer/project manager and with designers and technicians to produce electrical, telecommunications, security and fire alarm system design/construction drawing for various projects as part of a multi-discipline project team.

What You Need

• A Junior or Senior who is currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering (with focus in electrical), or Electrical Engineering Technology program
• AutoCAD experience
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• An excellent grasp of your professional field along with leadership, team building and communication abilities.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in handling and solving complex technical and people assignments in line with the company’s five core values.
• A valid driver's license.
