*At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Engineering Sr Analyst or Engineering Consultant. The title and salary will be determined based on experience and applied skills.*

Position Overview

As a part of the My Account team, you will devise technical solutions to drive business outcomes based on an understanding of customers, business processes and technical requirements. You will perform engineering tasks in a diverse technology environment including: design, code, configure, test, implement, and support quality software solutions, systems architecture, application security and application infrastructure. You will continuously improve and develop internal software and configure packaged applications by assessing business needs to develop solutions that enhance business capabilities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Work to solve problems with a test and learn mindset.

• Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.

• Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities of medium complexity.

• Support modernization efforts.

• Develop and maintain customer portal and advisor sites and knowledge.

Qualifications

Proficiency in:

• Java and/or Javascript

• SQL

• IntelliJ and/or VS Code IDE

• Git versioning concepts and common git commands

Basic understanding of:

• Web development (HTML, CSS)

• RESTful Services

• Cloud computing concepts

• Containerized Architecture Experience

• Serverless Architecture Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in:

• React

• GraphQL

Basic understanding of:

Experience with any/all of the following AWS Cloud Services:

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$67,000.00 - $125,000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
